CEREX Advanced Fabrics, Inc. (“CEREX” or “we”) recognizes the importance of keeping your personal information private. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to describe how CEREX collects, uses and shares information about you through in-person interactions and our online interfaces, including www.cerex.com and https://www.cerex.com/ (collectively, the “Website”), through e-mail communications, and at meetings, trade fairs and conferences we attend.

We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully and to contact us as set forth below if you have any questions or concerns about our privacy practices.

What is the scope of this Privacy Policy?

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect from you, including, at and through the Website, e-mail communications, and at meetings, trade fairs and conferences we attend.

How do we collect information and what kind of information do we collect?

If you choose to provide information to us while visiting our Website, for example, through the “Contact Us” or “Request a Sample,” links and/or if you choose to download information from our Website, we typically collect your name, physical address, email address, phone number, and company name so that we can reply to you and answer your questions, provide you with information about our products and services, provide you with samples of our products, and deliver the products or services you have purchased. In certain cases like with sole proprietor vendors or customers, we also may collect social security numbers to be able to comply with tax laws while making or processing payments.

We conduct business meetings with prospective and existing customers where contact information is exchanged to enable the participants to identify and introduce themselves and to allow for follow-up among the participants.

We attend and exhibit at various trade fairs and conferences and may collect your personal information when you visit us so that we can contact and follow-up with you after the trade fair or conference. This can be obtained from the business card that you provide, the trade show visitor information forms we complete to summarize our discussions, and the electronic information scanners used at most trade fairs today.  We store the information you provide on company servers, computers and in paper files (e.g. notes, files folders, business card rolodex files) so that we can communicate effectively with the right people in your organization.

If you contact us through electronic communication, including by email at our orders@cerex.com address, we typically retain the email in our file servers and collect any contact information you provide so that we can reply to you. Your email also contains metafiles that may contain IP addresses, domain names, and other standard file information and this information may be retained electronically on our servers or in routine back-up files.

When you place a purchase order with us or inquire about our products and/or services through electronic and non-electronic means, including through our customer service email address orders@cerex.com, by sending us a fax purchase order or by mailing us a purchase order, we collect necessary information to enter, process, ship and obtain payment for your order. Typically this includes names of key contacts, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses (where to ship to and invoice to), bank account numbers, payment card information (to process payments) and other information to complete the purchase transaction and/or reply to your inquiry.

When a customer requests CEREX to provide credit terms, you are also authorizing and acknowledging that CEREX has the right to evaluate your financial status and credit risk. We typically obtain third-party credit reports like those provided by Dunn & Bradstreet. These reports may contain personal information that the report provider collected to fully assess the financial risks of providing credit. CEREX may store the credit reports on its servers, computer files and/or in paper form in traditional customer files for reference purposes. Periodically, we may also insure international accounts receivable with carriers of this type of insurance. In order to do so, we may share your personal information and credit report with the applicable insurer.

How do we use and share your personal information?

CEREX uses your personal information to answer your questions, provide you with excellent customer service, process and acknowledge orders, evaluate credit risk, obtain and make payments, provide you with marketing information about our products and services, develop sales forecasts, work on joint research and development projects, provide information about trade fairs we are attending and new products we are introducing, and other activities in the normal course of manufacturing, marketing and selling nonwoven fabrics.

As discussed below, we may also disclose your personal information to third- parties who have been retained to assist us in running our business.

Additionally, CEREX will share personal information with third-party companies, organizations or individuals outside of CEREX if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to (1) meet any applicable law, regulation, subpoena, legal process or enforceable governmental request, (2) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, or (3) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of CEREX, our users, customers or the public as required or permitted by law.

If the ownership of all or substantially all of our business changes or we otherwise transfer all or part of our assets relating to our business or the Website to a third-party, such as by merger, acquisition, bankruptcy proceeding, joint venture, partnership or otherwise, we may transfer or sell your personal information to the new owner. In such a case, unless you agree differently or unless otherwise permitted by applicable law, your information would remain subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Except as set forth in this Privacy Policy, CEREX will not sell your personal information to any other company for any purpose.
